Chilean-born Patricio Lynch is the co-writer/writer of two films of the upcoming trilogy Sayen, produced by Amazon Studios and directed by Alexander Witt (Resident Evil: Apocalypse). Patricio has produced three features and written several screenplays ranging in topic from sci-fi to historical dramas. His first film as producer was All Inclusive (Mexico, 2008), distributed by Universal and acquired by Lionsgate. Cast included Golden Globe Award nominee Jaime Camil and Martha Higareda (Altered Carbon). His recent work as executive producer - the documentary No One Uses Typewriters Anymore (2020) - won Best Documentary at the 2020 Brighton Rocks Film Festival in the UK and it is about poetic fragments of memories from Chilean Nobel Prize nominated poet Raúl Zurita. He also executive produced the documentary Take Berlin (2021). Patricio is also the executive producer and US representative for Poston Digital Arts´ animated feature films division. Having lived in New York for ten years he took a screenwriting course with David Saperstein (Cocoon) and in 1999 he completed the Certificate in Film at New York University. He has taken Robert Mckee’s Story seminar, producing McKee’s Story Seminars in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. Patricio’s feature script The Empty Room – a drama based on a true story of an opera singer – was one of the five nominees for the Pipedream Script Award at the NY’s Independent Feature Project 2000 film market, the most prestigious screenwriting contest of the independent film industry at that time. He has participated in many government missions of Chilean producers at the Berlin Film Festival. Patricio won for two consecutive years Caras’ erotic short stories contest in Chile, with his two stories, Santiago in New York (Planeta Publishers, 2005) and Michelle (Planeta Publishers, 2006). He was also one of the winners of Paula’s Short Stories, Chile’s most prestigious literary contest, resulting in the publishing of his story Under the City (Penguin Random House, 2006). Patricio holds a business degree and he is a scuba certified diver and an environmentalist. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
